Jared's Room

Everyone need a place that is their own. Mine is the place I call a craft room. Really it is a place that I can put everything I don't know what to do with and shut the door--at least that's what Jared says. There might be a little bit of truth to this statement.

Jared's room would be the garage. He is even allowed to put the dead animals there. Luckily for me he doesn't have any. He painted the garage floor before we even moved in but some of the paint was peeling. His latest project has been to repaint the floor and to put some bling on the walls--stainless steel sheeting bent at just the right angle to become a 2 foot baseboard.

It does look nice. Maybe I should let him decorate my craft room.

Toothless Wonder

Yes, that would be Taylor. He is now missing 3 of his front teeth. He was so excited to be toothless. He wouldn't let anyone touch it even though he could rotate it 180 degrees. It was Monday night, already past bedtime. I was reading the kids stories and he wouldn't leave the tooth alone. I slyly mentioned the possibility of swallowing his tooth in the middle of the night. I was thereafter destined to pull the tooth. (GROSS) Jared was begging to do it but no it had to be Mom.

The tooth pulling wasn't that bad. I didn't even have to yank. The problem was the Tooth Fairy. The morbid Tooth Fairy has secretly been giving me Taylor's baby teeth to keep and preserve. Really I know some things just need to go in the garbage can but how do you honestly throw out the first baby tooth lost.

Anyway, Taylor wanted to take his tooth to show and tell. (Gross) When asked about the Tooth Fairy taking the tooth, he mentioned the other teeth already hidden in the secret compartment in my jewelry box. So much for hiding things from kids!

After that he was nervous that the Tooth Fairy would take his tooth. He even prayed about it. He was up all night checking on his tooth. At 5:45 the next morning he came running to our room. The tooth was still there with a gold dollar. (The poor Tooth Fairy is going to be broke.)

So he got to take the tooth to show and tell.

Tuesday night he lost another tooth. You'll never guess what he took to show and tell today. I think I will find something else to collect.

Family Pictures

We finally decided that we needed a new family picture--one that had Dallin in it. Yeah, I know he is four. Our friends Jason and Stephenie Richardson are starting a photography business so we lined up and said "Cheese".

DALLIN

It's about time I wrote about Dallin. His birthday was a month ago but that's about how far behind I am with everything.

Dallin started preschool this fall. He loves it!!! He has two wonderful teacher. We have been so impressed. The other day I thought to myself as 10, 3 and 4 years walked out of the house as cars, that I need to start bringing my camera every time I pick him up. They had made cars out of cardboard boxes, they were colored and fixed up with headlights, taillights and customized license plates. It was so cute. It has been a great confidence boost for him. For the first time he has been able to do something all by himself and not just watch big brother or sister do it.

Dallin turned four this year. I can't believe my baby is that big. He can be so much fun and constantly reminds me how much he loves me. His personality is as vibrant as his hair. Man, I love that little boy. The other day I was reading a story to him and he was patting my arm. He looked up at me and said, "Momma, you are beautiful." No wonder I love him.

He had a fun birthday thanks to all the grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. We love you Danno.
